Mila was born in Paloc Bigque, Dumangas, Iloilo.  She entered Canada as a caregiver in 2010, working in the Mississauga and Toronto areas. After getting married to a French-Canadian in 2016, she moved to Ottawa.

She is a Secretarial graduate and took a computer course at the Toronto Center and English as a Second Language (ESL) course of the Peel District School Board.  She works as a Personal Support Worker, receptionist and at times server at the Symphony Senior Living Retirement Home at Kanata.

She is a Team Head of Elim communities and Music Ministry Head of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic parish in Vanier, Ottawa.  She is also a volunteer at the St. Elizabeth parish.
