Janet was born and raised in Nueva Ecija and left the Philippines in 1985 to work on a cruise ship based in Miami, Florida. She acquired her US citizenship a few years after.  In 2000, she moved to Canada and settled in Stitsville, Ontario until 2007.  She currently resides in Gatineau, Quebec.

Janet has been working in the insurance industry for over fifteen years providing customer service for walk-ins and online through e-mails and telephone.  She assists customers by providing quotes for home and auto insurance and other personal lines.  She is also involved in problem solving, de-escalating and handling complaints.

In her spare time, she facilitates the preparation of decorations for varied types of events such as weddings, bridal shower, birthdays, baptisms, funerals, etc.  She indulges in hobbies such as digital scrapbooking and gardening.

In recent years, Janet has been active in volunteering in community events such as gala celebrations and fund-raising.
