Albert Opeña

Member

Albert Opeña was born and raised in Nueva Vizcaya. He graduated from the University of Cordillera (Formerly Baguio Colleges Foundation) with a degree in BS Information and Computer Science in 1992. Albert settled in Imus, Cavite, with his wife Cherry and three sons before his family migrated to Canada in 2005.

Before migrating to Canada, Albert worked as an IT Manager at Pac-Atlantic Holdings Inc. (2000-2002), IT Manager at Ingasco, Inc (2002-2005), and IT consultant for various companies. He is currently working in the  Library and Arts Canada (LAC) as an Analyst/Programmer. Previously, he worked in AuthoShack, TechInsight, Hockey Canada, and OZOptics as a computer programmer.

Albert is currently the Director of Operations of Ottawa Titans (Previously PBA Ottawa), a non-profit organization that helps and organizes Filipino youth to train in competitive basketball across the Ontario region. He is also the current general secretary of the Philippine Intercity Basketball of North America(PIBNA). PIBNA is a Filipino organization that facilitated the basketball tournament in various cities in Canada and USA.
