Don is an experienced nonprofit managementprofessional with over 25 years’ experience in international development, and having lived in Canada, the Philippines, Singapore and South Africa. His work with international NGOs, corporate and government organizations span over 15 countries across North and South America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.

He currently works as the Global Director, Program Operations for Nutrition International; previously, he was Senior Director with Rare International (based in the Philippines); a Global PMO Director for World Vision International and a former Regional Director, Program Management for World Vision Southern Africa; Director, Capacity Building Strategies for United Way Centraide/Ottawa, and  Regional Manager for Volunteering Development with VSO covering Southeast Asia, China, Mongolia and Pacific.

A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Don has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, a BS in Economics degree at the University of the Philippines School of Economics, and completed an execution education course on Human-Centered Design Thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, Stanford University. Aside from spending his spare time with family, he also volunteers as the Division Director, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, 209.5th Division based in Ottawa.
