PCC Face Mask Campaign
April 1, 2020
The PCC launched this campaign at the beginning of the social restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in April 2020. This ended in July 2020. However, if you wish to donate face masks and volunteer to deliver them to vulnerable people, especially seniors, please take note of the following details:
The Philippine Centre Canada face mask making & distribution campaign is in collaboration with the Ottawa Valley Filipino-Canadian Senior Citizens Association. All face masks will be delivered to the elderly and other vulnerable members of our community.
Frequent proper handwashing and physical distancing reduces the chance of being exposed to the virus.
“CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.”
