Urduja Cariñio
Urduja Cariñio, a former member of PCC, currently works as a project coordinator for the “Healthy Aging for Seniors” project, which is funded by ESDC’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. With a specialization in Gerontology, particularly in mental health and infection prevention and control, she brings valuable expertise to her role. Holding a leadership position at a long-term care facility in Ottawa, Urduja is committed to providing innovative and comprehensive services to ensure high-quality care for the elderly.
Alongside her healthcare career, Urduja is deeply dedicated to community service. She has held various leadership roles and volunteered on the boards of local and international not-for-profit organizations and associations. Her focus has consistently been on assisting diverse populations, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
Urduja’s dedication to improving the quality of life for older adults is demonstrated through her leadership in multiple projects that advocate for their mental health. Additionally, she actively supports initiatives within the Filipino community by coordinating and implementing projects and programs. This commitment reflects her strong connection to her Filipino heritage and values.
