The Philippine Centre Canada is proud to present the workshop series ‘Promoting Youth Mental Health Awareness through Art and Music’ series, with the support of the Canadian Red Cross and Public Health Agency of Canada. The workshops will be facilitated by expert Filipino-Canadian artists and counsellors and will take place from 9:00AM – 4:00PM in the Normandin Room at 233 Main Street, Saint Paul University, Ottawa (unless otherwise stated). The workshop is offered for free to youth ages 13-20, with priority given to people of colour. Space is limited and participants are encouraged to register by submitting the form below. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration.

The workshop dates are as scheduled:

Soapmaking (August 26)
Visual Art (September 9)
Silkscreen Printing (Sept 30)
Songwriting (October TBD)
Dance (October TBD)
Photography (November TBD)

This workshop series is for youth who would like to gain new creative expression skills.  No previous artistic experience is necessary. The workshop facilitators will share their work, teach their craft and share how art can be a vehicle for self-expression in your life.

Please stay tuned for an artist and youth showcase in December where participants will have an opportunity to share their work. The showcase will open to the public!
