EKSPRESYON: Filipino-Canadian Multimedia Exhibition

The Philippine Centre Canada is hosting EKPRESYON: Filipino-Canadian Multimedia Exhibition as the culminating event of our year-long project “Promoting Mental Health and Well-being Among Filipino-Canadian Youth Through Art and Music”, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada through the Canadian Red Cross.

The project is about empowering youth to share their unique experiences of being a young person of Filipino background or identity in Canada today by expressing it through art and music.

EKSPRESYON completes a series of 8 workshops led by different Filipino-Canadian artists and mental health professionals from across Canada. One goal of this project is to create sparks that will form larger connections – through personal development by increasing self-knowledge, intrapersonal connections with community and the connection between us and the role that we play in our Canadian society.

EXPRESYON will be held at the Jackson Cafe, Ottawa Art Gallery, on Monday, December 4, from 5:30-8:30 pm.
